August 2015 For this walk I was staying in Llandudno, a town I have always liked and the hotel I was staying at (The Travelodge) even had a sea view, just about. I had come down for the August bank holiday and my plan had been to walk up Mount Snowdon (which I did yesterday), do a new walk along the coast (the plan for today) and do a trip on the Snowdon Mountain Railway and Ffestiniog railways, which I did the following day. As this was the closest part of the coast to Llandudno I hadn’t yet walked, this is why I ended up doing this walk despite not staying all that close. As it was a Sunday, the bus service was very limited, but I had worked out that it was possible to walk from Nefyn to Pontllyfni (where I got to the last time I was here). Both places have a bus service on a Sunday but only around 4 buses and it wasn’t a direct service, I would have to change in Pwllheli . Thankfully, the last bus of the day had a 15 minute connection in Pwllheli which meant the journey could be…
