Two meals out. Tedious-and-irritating car maintenance. A bit of the blues. A megamow and a bonfire. A good walk. Last PT of 2026! Lots of sleeping. Too warm for October. I’m still sporting shorts. Woke to cloud down, drifting past the windows on Tuesday morning. A good day for being indoors, and admin. Weirdly warm outside. Lunch then procrastinated (avoiding preparing my talk for next week) by splitting and potting up the large Boston Fern in my office and the one on the sideboard in the lounge. When two become nine, as the Spice Girls didn’t say. Fern nursery on my office windowsill I also dug up the slab of rubble that’s emerged from the grassy slope by the camellia. Thankfully not too big. Then knuckled down to my homework (talk prep). Wind got up in the afternoon and the internet gave up. Very glad that I’m no longer working. The past couple of months of terrible internet speeds would have been unbearable. Adjourned to the conservatory with a pot of tea and Pips. Gym in the…
