router planing sled........

hmm.......Yesterday the handle was still tacky as were the top inside edges. Three days after the last coat went on it was still not dry to the touch. I soaked a rag with alcohol and rung out until it was almost dry. I wiped down the handle and the inside top of the long sides. When I checked it today, there was no tackiness anywhere I checked. I'm beginning to think the cheap shellac I bought wasn't the idea I have ever had.white wood 2x4Made a run to Lowes in the AM and bought a 8 foot 2x4 and a 2x4 foot 1/2" plywood panel. That wasn't enough to make what I had floating around in the brain bucket. I needed angle iron and the prices I saw at Lowes almost caused me to have an involuntary bowel movement. It wasn't even thick wall angle too but the thin (1/8") that would probably sag with the weight of the router.
