Robert Plant in GGP 0 ▲ Disquiet 1 day ago · Music · hide · 0 comments Had the great pleasure this weekend of taking in several performances at the annual Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in Golden Gate Park, and the highlight was a late Sunday set, October 4, by Robert Plant and his band, Saving Grace, which includes Suzi Dian on vocals. They did some Led Zeppelin favorites, including a fantastic “Ramble On” early on, all rearranged, stripped down, and made more rhythmic, plus some old folk music from the UK and the US, and a few contemporary songs (including ones from Low and from Martha Scanlan). It’s absolutely inspiring to witness Plant, who turned 78 last month, bring his work into the present, and to find ways age gracefully. At the concert’s end he said, “See you in my 80s.” And the internet keeps on giving, because the full set is online already: No comments yet. Log in to reply on the Fediverse.
