Okay I love this poem so much but I need to point out that a double dactyl has quite a complicated fixed structure, and this poem doesn’t quite meet it. In particular, one line (preferably the second line of the second stanza), must be a single double-dactyl word. Also, while rhyming extra lines isn’t exactly forbidden, classically only the final lines of each stanza rhyme with each other. Fortunately, this means that a single tweak can fix both issues. Thus, I present: Higgledy piggledy, olden French bakery storing its loaves in a double-doored shed.Inspector approaching anachronistically to find a cow casu'lly li'king the bred. No comments yet.
