Notes from 4 Oct

I didn’t really feel like blogging yesterday, so I didn’t. Not much caught my eye in the feeds and I didn’t do much of note (although I did briefly pop out on the scooter) so when it came to the end of the day and my text document was empty I figured, fuck it. What I had been doing was building a new home for the 72 Pete blog which I want to move off Ghost before the next billing cycle. I like Ghost but I really can’t justify the cost so I’m switching to Hugo and hosting it on the cheap. Hugo turns out to be exactly what I’m after. Simple to use with all the functionality I missed from Wordpress (back when Wordpress was good) and none of the bullshit I was getting from Eleventy. I’ve managed to import all the posts into a design that I don’t hate and could go live with it right now if I needed to. But there’s no rush. I was thinking about what I might do with this blog and I’m seeing it as a repository for my writing. I’ve written a lot over the years and it’d be good to have it all…
