Theft. That's the (accurate) way AI detractors frame the corrupt buildout of so-called "AI" training data.It's not just theft, though. As we covered a few weeks ago here on The Review, AI-adjacent companies are committing cultural genocide by destroying rare, precious books in the pursuit of more data to train Large Language Models on.The problem is, this isn't anything "AI" is asking for. No matter how the ketamine-fueled CEOs or their overpaid marketing stooges frame it, AI is not agentic. AI can't make these kinds of decisions.
