Coffee Wrights is a roaster and cafe located only a 2-minute walk from Kuramae station. Although admittedly not a word I had ever come across, they take their name from a wright, who is “a person who makes things”. They offer both espresso and pour-over coffees, and have a small amount of seating on their second floor with free WiFi. They had a bunch of single origin beans available (mostly washed) ranging from 750 to 950 yen for a cup of pour-over. They had bean samples out, but this was more just for looking and not for sniffing. I decided to get their Ethiopia Nigusse Gemeda, which was noted as using a “slow dry natural” process (reading online, apparently this means they are dried over 20 - 30 days instead of the usual 10 - 15). For their pour-overs, they use a Kalita Wave dripper. Interestingly though, it seems they use an Aeropress for their iced coffee?
