It says positive things that we are no longer so starved for content that a book with fairly accurately written and realistic descriptions of both a femdom relationship getting off the ground, and the kinky sex itself, could get low marks from me. Ten years ago I would have reacted like my socks were blown off my body. Five years ago I would have conceded we still need to nurture works that take risks, even if they are flawed, and given this one a conditional 4 stars. These days, and nearing the end of a 50 femdom book marathon, this one gets a resounding meh. It’s entirely absent of offense, and it is completely legitimate and plausible femdom. Readers may enjoy it for its extremely grounded and believable storyline. Inversely, Tied Score suffers from being the book where nothing happens outside of an unremarkable relationship trajectory between two extremely mundane people. The main problem here is that it fails at having enough tension and conflict to be a good, capital R Romance.…
