September 29, 2026It finally happened - the colder winds made it through the heat dome. It feels AMAZING, even though I had to put on an extra layer. All too soon I’ll be pulling out mittens - and loving every minute of it.An egret finally came closer!It’s funny, when I was younger, I lived for summer. In my twenties and thirties, I was a golfer and couldn’t wait for the weather to warm up. But now, I look forward to all the season changes. I have loved the hummingbirds and butterflies AND I am ready for gulls and shorebirds. I haven’t seen a hummingbird today, though they were here yesterday. Will this be my last hummingbird photo of the year?I love the surprises I find in nature. As we enter the season of migration, I literally speak a prayer out loud every day as I arrive, wondering what delight might appear today. I’m open to them, inviting them, EXPECTING them to be wonderful. I feel my body relax, my shoulders drop, and I often find a smile on my face, even on days I don’t feel…
