Lately I’ve been enjoying the iPad as my main device (again); it’s working like a charm. Yet it’s oh-so-easy to think about the next upgrade — MOAR IPAD! Safely assuming that I’ll stay within the Apple-verse: will I wait for the next base iPad? Will I instead switch back to a MacBook? Will I use both?? Or will I simply stick with what I’ve got (until it’s no longer working well for me)? iPad I love the fact that my base A16 iPad with only 6GB RAM performs so well. I only do basic computing stuff, like using Notes, Mail, Photos, and the web browser. Even simple spreadsheets are fine on the 11” iPad display (in both Google Sheets and Apple Numbers). It’s capable yet minimal. And it’s frugal. This iPad cost me just $299! Of course, that was before the RAMaggedon tech price increases of $100 or more. But the base iPad is still a relatively low-cost computer, especially when buying refurbished. And Amazon often sells it brand-new on sale for $399. The value is still great. And if the next…
