Rorasuketo, a JRPG inspired by roller derby, SNES-era video games, and mental health, is a reality. A new video game appears on the horizon, and its name is Rorasuketo! My friend Cam deigned to become a game developer many years ago, and despite time, various setbacks, and the fickle nature of RPGMaker, that deignment became a reality, and Rorasuketo can now be bought and installed from Steam, which makes it a Real Game(tm), in this day and age. The name comes from the Japanese transliteration of “roller skate”, and it’s fun to say. To quote from the official website: Rorasuketo is a ghost sports adventure being created and designed by Cam Norcross, and co-written by Tiffany VanPeenen. Inspired by and orchestrated with classic SNES sounds, the soundtrack was written by Michael Chadwick. You may have noticed that last name is the same as mine. Yes, I created the soundtrack that plays in the background during the game, and I was glad to do it. I found a bunch of soundfonts at some point…
