2026-09-26Hello! Let me get the odd naming out of the way first. Each time I capture a photograph, my camera's default file name for new images is DSC, an underscore, and some unique four digit number. I've omitted the underscore here for technical reasons. It counts up from 0001, goes to 9999, and starts counting from the beginning if I've used the camera long enough. I've seen it loop over several times now.I didn't plan to make a special photo marking the 7777th photograph in this loop. If any images are keepers, I don't pay attention to the default naming scheme anyway. I capture several images of the same thing and cull for the best in the selection, so this image being marked something special was by pure coincidence. The cords themselves aren't anything special. I saw them wandering around my house for inspiration and thought I could make something interesting with them.I put the camera and lens on a tripod and zoomed in as far as I could, capturing all the detail from the loops…
