How to read books

A statement made on an AI training course I had to attend (I'm paraphrasing but this was the gist): "I really do believe this is how books will be consumed in the future - by the AI summarising it neatly for you". Riiiight... and who's going to be writing these books, once no one is reading them any more?? AI??? How long after that will your models collapse in on themselves, caught in some god-awful feedback loop of AI-generated garbage? I rather wish I was making this up...
