Good news — I finally have a scheduled surgery date on the calendar. It’s official. After switching gears last week from a traditional hospital to a surgery center, things have been clicking along steadily. I’ve been surprised by the quick and easy steps down this new path. Now I just have to…wait again. No worries. It’ll all be over soon. Right? I emailed the surgery center after business hours last Friday evening. The center replied early Monday morning. Then I sent over some of my medical files from my main doctor on the same day — getting those so fast was a borderline miracle in itself. On Wednesday morning, I talked with the surgeon’s office and the center, got all the details, and my surgery was scheduled near the end of October. Done. Well, almost. I’ve been trying to be a patient patient since early August, so having surgery on the calendar is happy relief. I’m not really bothered to wait a few more weeks because it’s great to finally just have the thing on the calendar. I…
