The Season of Scenery painting challenge finished on 30th September and I just managed to scrape in with my last two items – a small railway station completed on the 29th and a railway water tower finished on the 30th (with the assistance of my wife’s hairdryer to get the base sorted)! I’ve just managed to get a few photos taken this afternoon before it got too dull outside. I’d slowed down a bit with painting after finishing my last railway bits but put on a last minute spurt to get these two finished. The station building is a 3D print of the railway station building at El Alamein! I thought it would look ideal as an Mediterranean or South/Central American small station building and it’s shown above with a couple of my other Italian buildings. It comes with the option of either an “ALAMEIN” sign or a notice board so I chose the latter to keep it fairly generic. The water tower is also a 3D print and I gave it a base at the last minute when I realised it was going to be tricky to put…
