I’d consider the PET another of my grail retrocomputers, but I also acknowledge I’ll never have the space for such a large machine… even assuming I could afford one in working condition thesedays. But I’m a step closer to the real thing now, thanks to this machine! This is my beloved PAL VC-20, the uncommon version of the Commodore VIC-20 released in Germany. It came to me in a sorry state from a seller in the UK, but I was able to get it working again with some TLC, light soldering, and a replacement keyboard from an “Aldi” Commodore 64. I originally thought the beige keys against the egg-white case of the VC-20 would look a bit weird, but it grew on me the more I used it. Keen-eyed Commodore fans may have noticed I put the original VIC-20 orange function keys on there as well. But this was only meant to be temporary, because I eventually… No comments yet.
