I actually have some quibbles -- I think Newport underestimates how much many doomers are motivated by greed (in addition to craziness) and how crazy many accelerationists are (in addtion to also being greedy) -- but if you're new to the topic, this is an excellent primer.An Insider's Guide to AI Doom
