I stood in the driveway for a suspiciously long time enjoying it. A small flock of pigeons flew over the neighbourhood several times, making noises that suggested flying for them was more about physics looking the other way, rather than some aeronautic mastery. Had it been any other group of birds I would have wondered what they were scheming up there, what they were planning. But it was pigeons. They likely just remembered there WAS an up there, and that they could fly in it. I had the day off work for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, so I walked Omega to school. I used to walk the girls to school everyday, but not anymore. Patterns change. My daily commute often includes twenty to forty minutes of walking, and it’s the best part of my day, especially in the morning. Morning walks are the best.
