Changes in finances since March 2026

An overview of my financial situation since getting a job and moving into a new place, and where that leaves me. Financially, now that I've finished my seven month stint of work I'm doing alright, but not quite in the place I'd like to be. My expenses in March, when I started this job and my roommate moved out, and May, when I moved into my new place, were quite high. However the majority of that was me paying the last month's rent out of the deposit my roommate had given me when he moved in, and then me putting down first and last on the new place. Moving expenses also included: So much cleaning supplies Paying a charity to remove my couch ($300!!) Two new suitcases because the ones I had were possibly moth-infested A clothes steamer to make sure other stuff wasn't still moth infested from a wool moth issue a couple years ago Queen sized bed sheets for the new bed (my previous had been double) A new computer chair, as my old one was tiny and uncomfortable and now I wouldn't have room…
