I finished the first game in this trilogy back in 2020 and put off the 2nd game because I didn't have a PS5. This year a friend lent me his PS5 for a few months andthere were only 2 games I wanted to play on the system: Marvel's Spider-Man 2 (already done) and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Both of these are also available on Steam, but with a PS5 I was able to borrow physical copies and essentially play them for free! Spider-Man went by quick, but Rebirth took forever. In summary, it's a beautiful open world game expanding the story of FF7 with way too much stuff to do. The story in Rebirth picks up right after the departure from Midgar and covers until the events in the Temple of the Ancients. If you played the original, you know that's the end of Disc 1, which means the final game (coming next year) will have a lot of ground to cover, Disc 2 and Disc 3. Same as in Remake, the story is greatly expanded. The game is divided into 14 chapters taking place over 7 open-world regions. It…
