Knight [In the House of the High King]

I watched Princess Arete and it got my brain going. What's the right word for this genre? I hesitate to say "Ghibli-esque" because it's so overused as to almost be meaningless, even as (especially as) a marketing term. Fairytale fantasy? French vanilla fantasy?It gave me the idea of a project, though. It's something like this setting by my friend Tom of the End of All Things / Houseless Hills blog. Here is a taste. I might theorypost later, but maybe it's apparent from the design? This is longer than the core OSE class, but I also think it's more honest.
