AI stance is not binary

AI discussions often pretend that there are only two possible positions: complete delegation, where the machine produces everything and the human only supervises the result, or complete rejection, where using an AI tool is treated as abandoning the craft itself. But using AI does not automatically mean believing that it should replace engineers, just as refusing to use it does not mean believing that it is useless. Especially in software engineering, the interesting question is not whether humans should use machines, but how humans and machines should work together. To explain how I see it, I like to use a simple example: imagine a runner who has been asked to train a robot to run the famous 100-meter race.
