Apology

I am sorry that the blogroll has disappeared. I had been meaning for some time to update it and strip out the dead links. When Astronony Picture of the Day changed its web address I decided I would at least update that one. So I did, and found that the entire list had gone. Some research suggested that WordPress has changed its policies so that you can’t put such a list as a widget on the sidebar if you are on a free plan. So my apologies if you found this list useful and are wondering what happened to it. I still have the original links, but can’t easily make it visible. Sometime soon I will try to produce something, maybe a static page, to contain them. There are some pieces of kit that I found it worthwhile subscribing to, such as Dropbox and Overleaf. But WordPress is just for my own gratification, and I am very reluctant to pour money into it. One day, maybe quite soon, I will pull the plug on it; I may be able to put it somewhere else if I can figure out how.
