You know, beyond their initial decades of mainstream existence, anyway. What I mean is that there seems to be a big influx of people visiting these games in 2026, many of which are doing so for the first time, and really getting the most out of them. People leaning hard into 1CCing everything they can, Youtube channels dedicated to showing off how to get good at them and extolling their virtues, and consistent releases from companies like Hamster making them easier to check out on whatever modern console you prefer. My peers in the writing space deserve a big shout-out as well; the sheer amount of incredibly detailed perspectives that tackle the games with both knowledge and kindness (towards the games and the players!)
