Listen for the Music.

I am constantly evaluating my intent and subsequent interactions with social media, especially those social media platforms that are owned by the big corporate conglomerations. I fully believe the corporations have absolutely zero interest in fostering honest connections between humans; corporations simply see such interactions as a source of money. For those that live in the ever-growing and ever-present corporate world, money is the deity. Despite what the PR spin claims, Mark Zuckerberg and his ilk have no interest in connecting people together in meaningful ways. I balance this belief with the fact that many folks I hold dear have stayed in the ways of social media as their primary form of communication. This is why I still have accounts on Facebook and Instagram. It’s where the people are. Granted, there’s a lot of folks not on these platforms, but for the most part, family contact happens through something that is Meta controlled. And yes, I still refuse to engage with WhatsApp.…
