Weeknotes 26-39: Parks and Vegas

Hiiiiiii not a real post this week since I need to save most of it for a Real trip post!! Rapid-fire trip summary: SLC is a fascinating city from what little of it I saw. Really beautiful views of the mountains and then shockingly flat down the grid-aligned streets Lots of great food, Red Iguana and Perch Coffee in SLC, Communal in Provo Kind of crazy how gorgeous the landscapes are, so, so different from the northeast, wide expanses of rock and low vegetation Listening to Miles Davis In a Silent Way while driving into Arches was a huge vibe (KZMU 106.7, Moab community radio) Crazy being able to walk around at 10pm and still be able to see just on moonlight alone “This would look so much better with a data center here” Primitive trail ruled, super super fun, such a vibe walking around on barely marked trails with maybe five other groups total Canyonlands looked fake, there were some vistas that looked like a matte painting from a movie set Every vacation needs an onsen, we need more…
