Review of 2025

Charmingly, last year, I fretted over having published my annual review a mere one and a half months late; alas, here we are, half-way through the following year. Maybe these annual reviews will become like Ramadan, shifting slightly each year until it eventually makes it back to its starting location of ‘being on time’. Methodology ¶ Last year, I highlighted my unimpressive average success rate over the past three years, and thought that part of the problem is that I’m not very consistent in my goal definitions. For the year to come, I planned to delineate between two different class of ‘objective’: what I’m calling ‘goals’ (i.e. , targets towards which I aim to make progress throughout the year); and ’tasks’ (i.e. , a to-do of discrete actions to perform, each linked to a goal).
