I went next door and found a ginormous scrawny tan monster of a tomcat who almost immediately decided I was his new best friend and demanded all of the head scratches while purring loudly enough to wake up the rest of the neighborhood. This is how I met Bosco. At this point he wasn’t Bosco yet. His previous name was Chloe, which is just a terrible name for a giant male tomcat whose shoulders came nearly up to my knee. On the way home he spent most of the ride trying to explore the area behind the car’s pedals while yowling at the top of his lungs. This obnoxiousness would quickly come to define our relationship. There’s no way around it, at first he was a bad cat.
