A Swift wrapper for my little CMS

I didn't want the Baty.net Editor to be just another tab buried in my browser, so I had Claude make me a real Mac app out of it. In a normal world, the only way I'd be able to split a website into its own app would be "Add to Dock" via Safari. That would work, but it would mean that running the local Node server for Eleventy was a separate step from the app. It would also only have Safari's default menus. I wanted something nicer, so I had Claude build me a Swift wrapper. I suppose I could have used something like Electron, but my Mac Mini only has 16 GB of memory, so Electron would be too heavy. It took Claude Code 15 minutes to wrap the thing, create the app, add an icon, write the readme, and commit all of it. What a world. When I launch the app, it starts the server automatically. Also, there are actual menus. It's currently using only 99 MB of memory. This stuff makes me a little giddy. ✍️ Reply by email
