Fixing a DreamQuest Pro design flaw with a piece of tape

I was refurbishing a friend’s DreamQuest Pro mini PC and throwing Omarchy on it when I ran into a surprising crash. Tapping or pushing on the top of the case would crash the whole system. Just an instant black screen that would not recover with time. It didn’t take too much debugging to find the cause. First, I ruled out the display/video stack. Switching to another HDMI port didn’t help. I also confirmed the system actually crashed by playing some music, then tapping the top; if it was just the display stack, the music would’ve kept playing. Instead, it also instantly stopped. So, it was probably hardware. Looking at smartctl on the SSD revealed no CRC errors. That drive was probably fine. Next, I moved on to the RAM, but I wanted to rule out the OS entirely.
