Weeknotes: Disposable Heroes — Week 39, 2026

This silver week I got the full week off, making a perfect opportunity to travel, right? Wrong! Three forces conspired to keep me in Tokyo, one of them being a high study load. The weather was also, well, not great? Perhaps this is why my motivation has wavered. Several days of heavy typhoon rain and different levels of weather alert. Still manage to run a lot though. On Wednesday the lads go to see Spiral, Spiral, which was very guruguru, followed by dinner at afuri. I learn a few things but mostly it’s just good vibes. Also, the Future of Life! Unfortunately I couldn’t see it at the Expo last year, so couldn’t pass the opportunity to catch it at MoN. The middle bit was extraordinarily good and stirred up some strong emotions. The other bits, less so, but it was a nice time. I published a piece on Times Channels, “Get with the #times,” which I started on the 26th of August 2025!
