Kindness as First-class Citizen in Programming

What do you think the world has too much of, right now? There are probably a lot of answers that come to mind. Too many bills, too much being asked of us, too many stupid and dangerous people in politics, too many plates we need to constantly keep spinning. We are overwhelmed by how overwhelmed we are, and we are exhausted by our exhaustion. We are sick and tired of being sick and tired. A few days ago, I shared the thought that You need to build what you think the world needs more of. Everyone is waiting for somebody else to.. In other words, what does the world need more of? As a random stranger noted in my replies, "everyone think the world needs more of something, but we all can't agree of what, so we are building in out own little corner." I can understand where they're coming from. People seem to be eager to demand precision in specifics, to the point where their circle shrinks detrimentally.
