A break

I've cut down my Mastodon use a bit this weekend, which has made my mental health a lot better already. The current state of my corners of the net makes it hard not to think about AI all the time: I've been trying to not take a side in the current schism, but trying to be evenhanded in the midst of what is feeling like a war provokes its own kind of stress. Looptober is coming up so I've been concentrating spare-time technical efforts on getting my SuperCollider granulator up and running. I'm expecting to do a lot of low-key ambient noodly stuff this year. This might be a result of a thread I started last month about 80s prog. As part of this I finally got around to getting a copy of Talk Talk's Spirit of Eden - they are a band whose late work seems to be beloved by people who like the sorts of music I do, and turns out I really love it.
