Learning scripting by scraping my own website

Let me preface this: I have no idea what I am doing. This is in no way a tutorial. I’ve been putting off updating my vocabulary webpage because it involves manually opening all 52 weeknotes from the year and copy / pasting the word lists, which is annoying, so now I’m a few years behind. My developer friend suggested this might be a project for me to try to learn scripting. I figured I’d document my thought process because a lot of you out there *are* technical people, so maybe you can point me in the right direction if I’m going the wrong way, or you can be reminded just how much you know relative to a non-developer 😉 I have zero interest in using AI tools to accomplish this — I learn best by doing it myself, but have a poor understanding of what scripting can do, so I’ve never been able to identify a project of mine it would be helpful for.
