Occasional Weeknote #34

So, remember last Weeknote when I said I changed mailing list providers? I just did it again. The one I used for the previous mailing had so many ads in it, it ruined the newsletter. I took a slightly nerdier route to get a new one set up that should look nice and clean, no ads. September’s been a busy month with lots of moving parts, but there’s been some fun stuff along the way. This week, my wife got to meet a cousin from her father’s side of the family that she connected with through DNA testing. This was the first in-person meeting with anyone from that side of the family in many decades. It was a really cool thing to witness. Our daughter turned 20 and my dad also celebrated his birthday this month. Time marches on like the pain in the ass it is. Rex the rabbit has been battling some health issues, but seems to be doing pretty well after his most recent vet visit. I tell you, this dude is the best but man, I was not fully prepared for the level of work (and money) involved with…
