The Crowd 320: The Just Before

Hi Crowd! Anticipation is a funny thing. About to happen. Almost there. Not quite just yet. Soon? Soon. I’m slowly de-Google-ing my life with the help of a number of services not the least of which is Proton. Mail is/was easy as I’d been kind of juggling the two for 15 years or so anyway. Migrating from Google Calendar is not as simple, in part because Proton Calendar is encrypted so syncing back and forth is a bit problematic. For assistance I went to Google’s AI SI Gemini and told it I wanted to stop using Google Calendar and move to Proton Calendar and what should I do and it basically said “lol, good luck.” After some back and forth it gave me a more actionable multi-step process that gradually moves from one to the other, but it could take a year of habit and process changes. One possibly useful note is that Proton Calendar now has Booking Pages similar to Google Calendar’s Booking pages which if you aren’t familiar is essentially native Calendly.
