Development is moving to the cloud. Most site security and resources are tied up in running too many agents locally. I don’t think that will be the driver, though. Labs will make local development safer and more performant.Instead, I think this will be driven far more by verification: telling your clanker of choice to keep going until it’s absolutely 100% sure the changes work and don’t cause regressions. These are the tasks that aren’t compatible with doing everything locally at scale.
