The makings of a World Clock

Not too long ago I got a new Casio watch and it’s been nice going back to a regular watch, and putting the Apple Watch on the shelf. The Apple Watch I have is an older one and with my new iPhone last fall, it was showing its age. What I like about the watch is the easy switch between a 12 hour and 24 hour time face. At work, many time based tasks are done in a 24 hour clock, so seeing time in a 24 hour format has gotten more natural. Another nice feature is a dual-time clock on the watch, which I have set to the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). This is another timezone I see in my day-to-day work, working in cloud operations. The hard thing about time is the working in all of them. Working as a Cloud Engineer I manager resources in many different areas in the world, and I need to know how the timestamp relates to my local time, as that is easier for me and the team. Really, it’s picking a timezone that we all work from when an issue arises or we know its “local” time of the region…
