Unhappy Internet Theory

Recently I've been spending more time on Reddit following updates and news about a few games I've been playing/interested in playing. Across subreddits, there's a type of post that pops up that I've seen over the years within the Pokemon TCG subreddit, but having seen it a few times across multiple games in short succession has brought it to be front of mind lately. These posts can be widely summarized as "Why is everyone complaining?" posts. Especially with games, there's a 2-part conclusion that can be made to answer this question: Players that are enjoying the game are playing the game instead of writing posts about the state of the game "I'm enjoying the game :)" isn't an exciting post and doesn't gain traction the same way a thread complaining about the state of the game encourages others to air their grievences.
