Welcome back, T1i!

My old Canon Rebel T1i camera’s batteries started failing months ago, they didn’t reliably hold a charge. My concern was that the camera would not shutdown correctly and break. Better safe than sorry, I stopped using it. I dearly missed my DSLR a lot, especially on a family travel to Cuzco. While smartphones can take great photos, they can’t compete against a larger sensor and larger interchangeable lenses. I’m delighted that, with the help of my mother-in-law I got ahold of two new batteries! Canon doesn’t sell them anymore, they had to be off-brand ones. The ones sold at Mercado Libre Perú looked of poor manufacture. Backed by Amazon’s reviews (which, to be fair, aren’t as reliable now because AI bots) I purchased two. I’m still on the first charge, working normally so far. When I asked my mother-in-law how much was the final cost, she said not to worry, they were a gift. How cool is that!? This is a test shot:
