I hate abstractions, but I use them anyway

The purpose of abstraction is not to be vague, but to create a new semantic level, in which one can be absolutely precise. Edsger W. I don't like abstractions; I feel they blur your vision and make you weaker. In almost all scenarios I could think of. Take for example, on the web. I like using HTML, CSS and JavaScript without any frameworks or web builders. I do this and I'm happy I don't have to deal with all the crazy terminology that would otherwise not be known like useEffect() or bundling or any of the other crap1. They distract you from the goal at hand (i.e. why you decided to code the website or web app in the first place) and make you less knowledgeable about the web platform and its values.
