An inch that needs to be scratched

Most years, Hallmark has a book edition of A Charlie Brown Christmas. Often, it’s just a tweak on a previous edition. This year’s listing has popped up. It’s a book with sound buttons that also interacts with a stuffed Snoopy figure, which makes its own sounds as part of the reading. And if that sounds and looks exactly like last year’s edition, yup. (It’s the one that I chided for having Snoopy make sound effects during the reading of the Gospel.) Only there’s one thing: the description says that the book is 9.25″ x 8.25″. Last year’s book? 8.25″x8.25″. So is this a typo? Are they just rereleasing last year’s edition unchanged, perhaps even left-over copies? The price is still $62.99, same as last time, at a time when prices have been heading up a bit. If it is an inch taller… then I need a copy. How is my collection of book editions of A Charlie Brown Christmas to remain complete if I don’t have that? But at $62.99, I’m not ordering one just in case. The next time I am near a…
