Fruited Flies and Hesitant Hair

Hair colorists of the world, take note: You might just be out of business: What’s seen in the above clip (courtesy of the Monty Montenegro YouTube channel) is beautiful Mari Blanchard, playing a woman named Kyra in a 1957 low-budget sci-fi/horror flick called She Devil, changing her hair color from dark to light by what seems an act of sheer willpower. Which could mean (in an extrapolated musing of my own) that the rest of us, by applying a similar concentration and Power of the Will, could do the same with our own follicles. No artificial dyes, chemicals, or treatments needed. Which could then mean…hair-coloring-brand stock prices would plunge… But mentally actuating from brunette to blonde (and later in reverse, when the mood strikes her) isn’t all Kyra does in this film. Heavens, no. She commits a daring daylight robbery in an upscale dress boutique; she strangles an annoying rich woman who slapped her; she then marries the annoying deceased dame’s equally annoying and equally rich…
