In Other News

It's been more than a week since I last posted. That's a fairly big gap for me in recent years. I guess I've been kind of busy. We went up to Saratoga Springs on Friday for my niece's wedding and to celebrate Mom's 93rd birthday. Caitie had flown into NYC and she took the train up on Saturday for the wedding and planned to stay until Monday morning, which was Mom's "official" birthday. (The one we usually celebrate. It turns out she has two birth certificates, and they have different birthdates, the 20th and the 21st. She's a twin, but it's not like they were born on either side of midnight.) The weather was beautiful on the drive up, and color change is beginning to show. Mitzi and I are in a Schuyler County Historical Society book club, reading about the Sullivan Campaign, and many of the places we were passing by figured in the Indians' roles in the Revolutionary War. I got to see all of my siblings, even my youngest brother who flew up from Alabama. One of my sisters came down…
