AI is the key?

Well I never expected to be referring to Piers Morgan as an authority on anything. But here’s an interesting discussion. The link comes from Ted Gioia’s Honest Broker Substack. The show starts with Mr Morgan and Tom Conti interviewing Tilly Norwood, our first AI-generated movie star who apparently burst onto the scene in July 2025. The video’s lead-in shows Tilly getting a bit confused, and in consequence at one point breaking into Chinese in mid answer. The full show goes on for 45 minutes, so you get to see this exchange again in its proper sequence. Discussants are Prof. Jiang, who’s able to interpret Tilly’s Chinese outburst, and Tom Bilyeu who reassures us that AI actors will get better —it’s still early days — and suggests that we’ll see large benefits from AI long before it gets to the point where it endangers us (quite possibly fatally, it’s true).
