what's your exit plan?

Today’s morning journaling. Recalling a generous free hour given decades ago by a talented business consultant. I was a writer with only one small book in print, the other self-published run of 300 long sold out. I had no assets or entrepreneurial skills. Gushing with Grand Ideas for future books and add-on ‘passive income’ (the new term I'd just discovered), Bob reined me in immediately. [paraphrasing] ‘This will sound like a very odd question to begin with, but it will shape your entire enterprise…’ I was all ears. ‘What’s your exit strategy?’ Don't know what that is or that I need one! Fast forward twenty-five years and I’m re-writing my Will – a personal exit strategy if ever there was… And suddenly writer's block (propped up by the excuse that I’ve got hedge demolishing to do) ends. I write the last paragraph to conclude ‘Legs from the Dregs’ (being drafted on my other bear blog) before returning to the troublesome middle bit. It ends the book and shoves the reader towards the…
