Almost went back to my Mac

I've been on my mac since early yesterday. I had planned to remain here indefinitely (long story), but don't think that's going to work. This started because i've been receiving a more-than-usual number of paper cuts on Linux for the past week. Things like Wi-Fi dropping out randomly, Espanso stops working, Syncthing conflicts, and other little glitches and oddities that had become noticeable enough to annoy me. Thing is, there are annoyances on the Mac, too. Spaces are unusable for me. Finder is still weak. SMB shares are slower and less reliable than a nice NFS share in fstab. Maybe the thing that bugs me most are the never-ending permissions dialogs. Coddle much? Anyway, I kept saying "Ugh!" often enough for a couple of days that I'm now back at the Linux machine. It's so odd to me that, when I logged in, I felt like, "Whew, that's a relief!". I never thought that could happen, but here we are.
