AI Search is a black box

In my head I keep going around in circles: AI search is incredibly convenient. I see more and more people using AI search exclusively. Yes, that’s partly because Google pushes AI Overviews and is making conversational search the default. Yes, the answers are not always accurate, but many people don’t mind, or simply ask again until they get a more plausible-sounding answer. AI search is a time-saver. For the vast majority of non-expert users, the AI search experience feels superior. You don’t need to pick a link and scroll to the bit that answers your question. You don’t even need to leave Google to get your answer. It’s fast, it’s easy.
