Continuations 2026/38: Goodbye Guard

I’m trying to get these weeknotes back on track: aiming for a Monday release at the latest. Happy Monday :) The biggest thing I got up to this week was reviewing all of Andrea’s wonderful work adding internal code reloading to Hanami—goodbye Guard! The Dry System piece is now merged, and the core Hanami capability is ready to go after a few small tweaks. All that’s left is for me to get comfy with the new middleware for the reloading web server. This deals with a range of concurrency concerns, so I just need the chance to get my head properly around it. Ryan fixed a couple of issues in rom-rails. Thanks Ryan! CuteCuteYu found a bug in Hanami’s gem detection. Thank you! I checked it out and suggested an implementation for a fix. Hopefully this helps them come back with a PR. For things like this I think it’s much nicer for the willing contributor to get the chance to see a fix all the way through. This way we get the chance to work with more people and all take part in building better…
